Vella Kodit was born out of two friends from Helsinki becoming frustrated with the inflexibility and complexity of the property industry. They had seen first-hand how renting a home can be needlessly stressful. We wanted solutions that genuinely work in everyday life: clear processes and more personalised service. From this idea, Vella Kodit was founded, with the aim of making renting as smooth as possible. Today, Vella employs dozens of professionals in property and customer service.

Vella Kodit works as a partner to Finnish landlords, looking after their properties on a daily basis: from renting and property management to customer service. We focus on what matters most to us. Making sure that both the rental process and everyday living are hassle-free. We offer a fully digital rental experience, but we never forget the person behind the technology. Every resident is an individual to us, which is why we're happy to handle things in more traditional ways too – even with pen and paper!
Komu app to make everyday life easier
We also wanted to make life easier after moving in. That’s why we use the Komu app, which allows residents to manage everyday matters easily and quickly. Through the app, our residents can, for example, send a maintenance request, book a parking space or check their rent payment status – all from one place, anytime, anywhere. At Vella, we believe that technology and a human touch go hand in hand, and that’s why we continuously invest in improving the customer experience.
